우리는 두려워하지 말아야 합니다. 그 이유는 우리와 함께하시는 하나님의 군대가 우리의 대적의
군대보다 더 많기 때문입니다(참고: 열왕기하 6:16,
창세기 32:2, 현대인의 성경).
엘리사 선지자는 하나님께 자기 사환의 눈을 열어서 불 말과 불수레가
온 산에 가득하여 엘리사를 둘러싸고 있는 것을 보게 해 달라고 기도한 반면에 시리안(아람) 군이 공격해 올 때 그들의 눈을 어둡게 해 달라고 기도했습니다(열왕기하 6:17-18,
현대인의 성경). 하나님께서 우리 영의 눈(영안) 또는 믿음의 눈을 열어주셔서
우리 믿음의 근원이시며 우리 믿음을 완전케 하시는 예수님을 바라보게 하시고(히브리서 12:2,
현대인의 성경) 우리 육신의 눈은 어둡게 하시사 우리가 접한 두려운 상황을 보지
말게 해 주시길 기원합니다.
하나님께서 도우시지 않으면 우리는 아무도 도울 수 없습니다(참고: 열왕기하 6:27, 현대인의 성경).
