이스라엘 왕 아합과 함께 길르앗 라못으로 가서 아람(시리아)와 전쟁하기에 앞서 아합 왕에게 400명의 거짓
선지자들 외에 “우리가 물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 있지 아니하니이까”라고 물었던 유다 왕 여호사밧은(열왕기상 22:6-7) 다시금 이스라엘 왕 아합의 아들 요람과 에돔 왕과 함께 모압과 전쟁하기에 앞서 “우리가 여호와께
물을 만한 여호와의 선지자가 여기 없느냐”하고 물었습니다(열왕기하 3:11). 이 사실을 묵상할 때 적어도 유다 왕 여호사밧은 적군과 전쟁하기에
앞서 하나님의 선지자에게 물어보는 습관이 있었던 것 같습니다.
우리도 무슨 일을 하기에 앞서 하나님께 기도로 여쭤보는 습관과 하나님의 말씀을 통해 하나님께서 주시는 약속의
말씀을 붙잡고 전진해 나아가야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다.
