만일 우리가 하나님의 경고의 말씀을 듣지 않고 불순종하고 있다면 ...
어떻게 지혜로웠던 솔로몬 왕은 하나님께서 두 번씩이나 자기에게 나타나셔서
그에게 이방신들을 섬기지 말라고 경고하셨음에도 불구하고 그 경고의 말씀에 순종하지 않았던 것일까요? 그 이유는 솔로몬의 마음이 이미 하나님에게서 떠났었기 때문입니다(열왕기상 11:9, 현대인의 성경). 그 이유는 솔로몬의 마음은 이미 자기의 많은 이방 아내들에게
가 있었고 또한 그녀들의 더러운 신들에게 가 있었기 때문입니다.
만일 우리가 하나님의 경고의 말씀을 듣지 않고 불순종하고 있다면, 어쩌면
그 이유는 우리 마음이 이미 이 죄악된 세상의 것들에 빼앗겨 하나님에게서 떠나 있기 때문일 수도 있습니다.
