주님의 교회를 섬기는 주님의 종들은 모든 교회 성도님들이 좋게 생각하는 사람들이 돼야 합니다.
또 그 날에 예물과 첫 열매와 십일조를 보관하는 성전 창고를 맡을
사람들을 뽑아 각 성의 농가로 돌아다니며 율법에서 제사장과 레위 사람의 몫으로 규정한 것을 거두어 창고에 들여놓도록 하였습니다. 모든 유다 사람들이 성전에서 섬기는 제사장들과 레위인들을 좋게
생각했기 때문이었습니다(느헤미야 12:44, 현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 주님의 교회를 섬기는 주님의 종들은
모든 교회 성도님들이 좋게 생각하는 사람들이 돼야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다. 달리 말한다면, 온
교회 식구들이 주님의 교회를 섬기는 주님의 종들로 말미암아 즐거워해야 한다는 것입니다[(개역개정)
“… 이는 유다 사람이 섬기는 제사장들과 레위 사람들로 말미암아 즐거워하기 때문이라”].
