하나님께서는 하나님의 백성을 구원하심에 있어서 하나님의 사람을 일으켜 세우실 때 불신자에게도 은혜를 입게 하십니다.
내시인 헤개는 얼굴이 곱고 몸매가 날씬한 아름다운 처녀인 에스더를
좋게 보고 그녀에게 호의(은혜)를 베풀어 “즉시 그녀에게 화장품과 좋은 음식을 주었으며 황궁에서 뽑은 일곱 궁녀를 그녀에게 주어 시중들게 하고 그들을 가장 좋은 별궁으로 옮겼”습니다(에스더 2:9, 현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 하나님께서는 와스디 왕후 대신
에스더를 왕후로 세우심에 있어서 내시인 헤개로 하여금 에스더를 좋게 보게 하시사 그녀에게 호의(은혜)를 베풀게 하셨다고 생각합니다. 하나님께서는 하나님의 백성을 구원하심에 있어서 하나님의 사람을 일으켜 세우실 때 불신자에게도 은혜를 입게 하십니다.
