하나님께서는 하나님의 선하신 뜻을 우리 부부 관계에 있어서 불순종과 불화를 통해서도 이루시는 것 같습니다.
와스디 왕후를 위해 잔치를 베풀지 않았던 아하수에로 왕은 자신이 더욱
좋아하고 사랑하여 왕후로 삼은 에스더를 위해 “큰 잔치”를 베풀어 모든 대신들과
신하들을 초대하고 그날을 임시 공휴일로 정했으며 각 도에 왕의 하사품까지 보냈습니다(에스더 2:17-18,
현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 아하수에로 왕은 와스디 황후를 사랑하지 않았다는 생각이 듭니다. 그래서 그는 그녀를 위해 잔치를 베풀지 않았다고 생각합니다. 그리고 그가 얼마나 에스더를 사랑했기 큰 잔치까지 베풀었을
뿐만 아니라 그 날을 임시 공휴일로 정했을까 라는 생각이 들었습니다.
어쩌면 하나님께서는 아하수에로 왕과 와스디 왕후의 안 좋은 부부 관계도 사용하시사 에스더로 하여금 와스디
대신 황후가 되게 하셨는지도 모르겠습니다. 하나님께서는 하나님의 선하신 뜻을 우리 부부 관계에 있어서 불순종과 불화를 통해서도 이루시는 것 같습니다.
