A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 성령 하나님께서 길을 막으실 때 (행 16:6, 7) 우리는 우리의 뜻을 내려 놓는 기회로 삼아야 합니다. 설상 우리의 뜻이 하나님의
나라를 위하여 복음 전파라 할지라도 말입니다. 그 이유는 하나님께서
뜻하시고 계획하신 길이 따로 있기 때문입니다.
성령 하나님께서 길을 막으실 때 우리는 하나님의 뜻을 깨닫는 기회로 삼아야 합니다(9-10절). 우리는 하나님께서 열어 놓은신 길을 위하여 기도하며 기대하며 기다려야 합니다. 분명히 하나님께서는 우리에게 그 길을 보여주실 것입니다. 그 때에 우리는 그 하나님의 뜻에 믿음으로 그리고 겸손히 순종해야 합니다. 그리할 때 우리는 하나님의 원대한 구원의 계획을 조금이나마 엿볼 수 있습니다(성령 하나님께서는 바울과 그의 동역자들에게 마게도냐로 인도해 주셨고 그들이 빌립보로 갔을 때 루디아와 온 가정이 구원 받고 또한 감옥의 간수와 가정도 다 구원 받아 결국 빌립보 교회가 세워지고 유럽에 복음이 전파되기 시작했음).
