다윗은 세상 모든 사람이 가는 길을 가게 되었을 때 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 "너는 힘써 대장부가 "라고 말했을 뿐만 아니라 형통의 비결을 가르쳐 줬습니다.   형통의 비결이란 하나님의 명령을 지켜 길로 행하는 것입니다(왕상 2:1-3).


나는 다윗처럼 세상 모든 사람이 가는 죽음의 길을 가게 때에 사랑하는 자녀에게 뭐라고 말할까?   가서 성령님께서 내가 해야 말을 가르쳐 주시겠지만 어쩌면 중에 하나는 내가 그들의 아버지로서 그들을 위하여 그들이 태어나서 부터 평생 죽을 때까지 기도한 내용이 아닐까 생각된다.
