죽기 전에 자녀에게 할 말?
다윗은 세상 모든 사람이 가는 길을 가게 되었을 때 그의 아들 솔로몬에게 "너는 힘써 대장부가 되"라고 말했을 뿐만 아니라 형통의 비결을 가르쳐 줬습니다. 그 형통의 비결이란 하나님의 명령을 지켜 그 길로 행하는 것입니다(왕상 2:1-3).
나는 다윗처럼 세상 모든 사람이 가는 죽음의 길을 가게 될 때에 사랑하는 세 자녀에게 뭐라고 말할까? 그 때 가서 성령님께서 내가 해야 할 말을 가르쳐 주시겠지만 어쩌면 그 할 말 중에 하나는 내가 그들의 아버지로서 그들을 위하여 그들이 태어나서 부터 평생 죽을 때까지 기도한 내용이 아닐까 생각된다.
