God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! 두려움은 하나님의 크기 보다 문제의 크기를 확대시킨다(토미 테니).
우리가 제일 두려워할 것은 우리 안에 있는 두려움이다(익명).
하나님의 약속의 말씀을 듣고서도(삿7:7, 9) 두려워했던 기드온에게(10절) 하나님께서는 그로 하여금 미디안과 연합 적군 진영으로 내려가게하시사 그곳에서 두 사람의 꿈과 해몽의 이야기를 듣게 하시므로 그 적군을 공격한 용기를 주셨습니다(13-15절). 하나님의 약속의 말씀으로만도 충족(sufficiency)한데도 불구하고 의심하고 두려워하는 우리에게 하나님께서는 심지어 불신자들을 통해서도 그 약속하신 말씀을 성취하신다는 확신(conviction)과 용기(courage)를 주시사 우리로 하여금 하나님께 경배한 후 일어나(15절) 하나님의 말씀에 순종하여 결국 승리케 하십니다!
