God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. "그래서 사람은 인생을 즐길 수 있어야 한다"(전도서 8:15, 현대인의 성경).
일평생에 근심하며 수고하는 것이 슬픔뿐인 이 세상입니다(전도서 2:23). 사람이 먹고 마시며 자기 일에 만족을 느끼며 즐거움을 느끼는 것보다 더 좋은 것이 없으며(24절, 현대인의 성경; 3:13, 22; 5:18; 8:15), 또한 사람이 기뻐하고 선을 행하는 것보다 나은 것이 없습니다(3:12). 이것은 사람의 그 사람의 몫이요(3:22; 5:18) 하나님께서 주시는 것이요(2:24), 하나님의 선물입니다(3:13). "그래서 사람은 인생을 즐실 수 있어야 한다"(8:15, 현대인의 성경). "네 헛된 평생의 모든 날 곧 하나님이 해 아래에서 네게 주신 모든 헛된 날에 네가 사랑하는 아내와 함께 즐겁게 살지어다 그것이 네가 평생에 해 아래에서 수고하고 얻은 네 몫이니라"(9:9).
