Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 나와 우리가 함께 사랑하는 사람과의 관계가 점점 가까워지면 질수록 나를 시기하는 사람이 생겨날 수있고 그러므로 나를 시기하는 사람은 나와 내가 사랑하는 사람과의 관계를 이간질하고자  사랑하는 사람에게 나에 대하여 거짓말을 수도 있습니다.  이것은 하나님께서 미워하시는 형제 사이의 이간질입니다(잠언 6:19).
