Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. 너무나 갈급한 위기 상황에서 하나님께 간구하면서(예레미야 42:1-4) 하나님께서 우리에게 무슨 말씀을 하시던지, 듣기 좋든지 좋지 않든지그대로 순종하겠다고 말해 놓고서(6하나님께서 우리가 기대한대로 기도응답을 하지 않으시고 오히려 우리가 원하지 않는데로 말씀하시므로 우리는 말씀에 불순종합니다(21).  이것은 우리 마음을 속이는 것입니다(20).   불순종의 결과는 분명히 있다는 것을 우리는 알아야 합니다(22).
