God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. 자녀에게 익숙하지 않은 것을 주는 부모?
사울 왕은 자기 군복을 골리앗과 싸우려는 다윗에게 주었지만 다윗은 익숙하지 못하므로 그 군복을 벗었습니다(삼상 17:38-39). 사울 왕의 아들인 요나단도 다윗에게 자기 군복을 주었습니다(18:4). 그 이유는 요나단이 다윗을 자기 생명 같이 사랑했기 때문입니다(1절).
부모가 자기 자식을 사랑한답시고 충분히 그 자식에게 익숙하지도 않은 "군복"을 줄 수가 있습니다. 그만큼 그 부모는 자기 자식을 모르고 있다는 증거요 또한 그만큼 자식의 입장에서 사랑하기 보다 자기 입장에서 사랑하고 있다는 증거입니다.
우리 부모들은 우리 자녀를 요나단이 다윗을 사랑했듯이 사랑해야 합니다.
