Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 우리의 죄의 결과인 불어닥친 위기와 역경으로 말미암아 많았던 사람들이나 재물 등이 얼마 남지 않았을 때 우리는 하나님께 부르짖어야 합니다.  부르짖되 우리는 하나님께서 우리가 마땅히 길과 일을 보여주시길 간구해야 합니다.  간구할 우리는 우리의 기도 응답인 하나님의 말씀에 순종하는 자세로 기도해야 합니다.   하나님의 말씀이 우리에게 좋든지 좋지 않든지를 막론하고 우리는 순종의 자세로 하나님께 기도해야 합니다(예레미야 42:1-6).
