사랑하지 말았어야 할 여인들을 사랑했습니다.
아무리 지혜로왔다는 솔로몬 왕도 하나님의 말씀을 어기고 사랑하지 말았어야 할 여인들을 사랑했습니다(왕상11:1-8, 삼손이 생각남). 그 불순종의 결과는 하나님께서 "일찍이"(2, 9절) "두 번이나"(9절) 말씀하신대로 그 여인들이 솔로몬의 "마음을 돌려"(2, 4, 9절) 그 이방 여인들의 신들을 따르게 하므로 하나님께서 솔로몬에게 진노하셨습니다(9절).
하나님이 주신 지혜는 진리 안에서의 지혜입니다. 하나님의 진리 밖에서는 그 지혜는 더 이상 하늘에서부터 온 것이 아니라 세상적이요 정욕적이며 마귀적인 것입니다(약3:15).
