하나님 아버지는 누구를 더 기뻐하신 것일까? 




"하나님께서 기뻐하신다면 이제 (십자가에 못박힌 예수를) 구원하실 테지"라고 대제사장들과 서기관들과 장로들은 말했습니다(마태복음 27:43, 현대인의 성경).  그러나 하나님 아버지의 뜻은 " 사랑하는 아들이요 기뻐하는 "(마태복음 3:17) 하나님의 아들 예수 그리스도를 십자가에서 구원하시므로 살리시지 않으시고, 대신 영적으로 죽었고 또한 영원히 죽을 밖에 없었던 우리를 사랑하시고 기뻐하시므로 구원하시사 영원한 생명을 주셨습니다.
