A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 우리 그리스도인들이 소유하고 있는 하나님의 능력은 적어도 5가지입니다: (1) 성령님의 능력과 하나님의 사랑의 능력: “소망이 우리를 부끄럽게 하지 아니함은 우리에게 주신 성령으로 말미암아 하나님의 사랑이 우리 마음에 부은 바 됨이니”(롬5:5). 우리가 이미 가지고 있는 하나님의 능력은 우리 안에 거하시는 성령님께서 성령님의 열매인 사랑을 맺으시사(갈5:22) 우리로 하여금 예수님의 이중계명대로 우리 마음을 다하고 목숨을 다하고

39). (2) 주님의 일을 할 수 있는 능력:
“오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이
되리라 하시니라”(행1:8). 이 능력은 영적 능력으로는 우리로 하여금 하나님의 말씀을
전하며 교회를 세워갑니다. 또한

바 하나님의 말씀을 받을 때에 사람의 말로 받지 아니하고 하나님의 말씀으로 받음이니 진실로 그러하도다 이 말씀이 또한 너희 믿는 자 가운데에서
역사하느니라”(살전2:13).
