하나님의 사람으로 세우시는 과정
궁핍한데서 더 궁핍한 상황으로 구원해 주시는 하나님은 우리로 하여금 사랑과 은혜가 풍부하신 하나님만 바라보게 하십니다. 우리가 의지할 분은 주님 밖에 없음을 가르쳐 주십니다(찬송가 342장).
문제 가운데서 더 큰 문제로 인도해 주시는 하나님은 우리로 하여금 구원의 하나님께 기도케 만드십니다. 기도케 만드시되 죽은 자로 살리시는 하나님의 구원의 능력을 체험케 하십니다(왕상17:22).
역경 가운데서 더 큰 역경 속으로 들어가라고 명하시는 하나님께서는 우리로 하여금 “사람이 떡으로만 사는 것이 아니요 여호와의 입에서 나오는 모든 말씀으로 사는 줄을” 우리로 알게 하십니다 (신8:3).
하나님께서는 우리로 하여금 오직 하나님의 약속의 말씀에 이끌림을 받게 하십니다. 그러므로 하나님께서는 우리를 “하나님의 사람”으로 세우고 계십니다 (왕상17:24). 이러한 하나님의 사람을 보고 사람들은 이렇게 말합니다: "… 내가 이제야 당신은 하나님의 사람이시요 당신의 입에 있는 여호와의 말씀이 진실한 줄 아노라 하니라”(24절).
