Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 진정 "광야"는 "나쁜 곳"인가요? 



"광야"는 "욕심을 백성"에게는( 11:34) "나쁜 "입니다(20:5).   이유는 광야에는 그들이 원하는 것들이 없기 때문입니다(5).  그러나 광야는 예수님 한분만으로 자족하는 예수님의 제자들에게는 좋은 곳입니다( 4:11; 딤전 6:6).   이유는 광야에서는 육적으로 원하는 것들이 없기에 하나님 아버지께서 그리스도 안에서 하늘의 모든 영적인 복을 내려 주신 것을 겸손히 누릴 있기 때문입니다( 1:3, 현대인의 성경).
