Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 사마리아 여인은 "유대인"이신 예수님이 상종하지도 않는 "사마리아 여자인" 자기에게 물을 달라고 하시니 이해가 되지 않았습니다( 4:9).  예수님의 제자들은 유대인이신 예수님께서  상종하지 말아야 할  사마리안 여인과 말씀하시는 것을 이상히 여겼습니다(27).
