For some of us, it’s been a while. In our hard-working, highly productive culture, we can sometimes feel like exhausted swimmers swept downstream in a fast-moving river, fighting to keep our heads above water, gasping for air. We get up early and stay up late. We never waste a minute. Our schedule is full, running here, running there, running late, running to catch up, running on empty, until we collapse in utter exhaustion. Underneath the satisfaction of being hard-working, hard-playing people is a weariness that’s desperate for the pace to relent so we can rest and recharge. Deep down, we’re dying to slow down and take a break. We keep telling ours...
"보라 내가 나를 위하여 나를 위하여 이를 이룰 것이라"
하나님께서는 우리에게 유익하도록 가르치시고 우리를 마땅히 행할 길로 인도하시는 하나님이십니다(사 48:17). 그러나 우리는 하나님의 명령에 주의하지 않고 그 명령에 불순종합니다(18절). 그러나 하나님께서는 자기의 이름을 위하여 우리에게 노하기를 더디하십니다(9절). 하나님께서는 자신의 영광을 위하여 참으시고 우리를 멸절하지 않으십니다(9절). 오히려 하나님께서는 불순종하며 범죄하며 회개치 아니하는 우리를 고난의 불로 시험하시사 우리를 연단하십니다(10절, 현대인의 성경). 하나님께서 이렇게 말씀하고 계십니다: "보라 내가 나를 위하여 나를 위하여 이를 이룰 것이라"(11절).
