우리 기도의 응답이 우리 기대대로 현실화 되지 않을 때 우리는 하나님께 감사하지 못할 수밖에 없습니다. 기도 응답의 현실화는 우리가 기도한 내용대로, 우리가 기대한 대로 돼야 할 필요가 없습니다. 우리의 기도 응답은 하나님의 주권에 속하였습니다. 그러므로 우리는 하나님의 주권적인 뜻이 이루어졌음을 믿고 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다. 우리는 과거에 베풀어 주신 하나님의 구원을 기억하므로 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다. 우리는 “구원은 여호와께서 주시는 것입니다”(욘2:9)라는 사실을 믿고 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다. 과거에 구원을 베풀어 주신 하나님께서 현재에도 구원을 베풀어 주실 줄 믿고 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다. 우리는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하신(히13:8) 구원의 하나님을 믿음으로 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다. 우리는 구원의 확신과 구원의 소망을 가지고 믿음으로 하나님께 감사 기도를 드려야 합니다.
