A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. 미리 용서의 기도를 드리자.
나는 나에게 잘못한 사람이 나에게 용서를 구하지 않는다 할지라도 적어도 자기가 나에게 무엇을 잘못했는지 스스로 깨닫길 원한다. 그런데 예수님께서는 자기를 십자가에 못박으라고 외친 자기 백성인 유대인들이 자신들이 범한 죄가 얼마나 큰지도 모르고 있었는데도 하나님 아버지께 "아버지여 저희를 사하여 주옵소서"라고 십자가 상에서 기도하셨다(눅 23:34).
성령충만한 스데반 집사님도 자기를 돌로 치는 유대인들을 위하여 "주여 이 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 마옵소서"라고 기도했다(행 7:60).
자신들의 죄를 깨닫지도 못하고 있는 사람들을 미리(선제) 용서하신 것이다. 주님께서 나같이 자신이 지은 수없는 많은 죄를 미리 용서해 주셨다는 사실을 깨달았다면 나 또한 나에게 죄지은 사람이 자기의 죄를 깨닫지 못하고 있다 할지라도 미리 용서하는 기도를 하나님께 드려야 할 것이다.
