Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 참된 신앙인은 자기가 접한 재앙들 가운데서도 "나를 위하여 모든 것을 이루시는 하나님" 부르짖습니다.  그리고 재앙들 가운데서도 주님께서 하늘 위에 높이 들리시며 주님의 영광이 세계 위에 높아지기를 원합니다.   재앙들 가운데서도 노래하고 찬송합니다.   이유는 마음이 확정되었고 확정되었기 때문입니다.  참된 신앙인은 자기가 접한 재앙들 가운데서도 새벽을 깨웁니다(시편 57).
