가룟 유다는 봉사와 사도의 직분을 헌신짝처럼 내팽겨 쳤습니다(사도행전 1:25, 현대인의 성경). 겉으로
그는 가난한 사람들을 생각하는 것처럼 보이지만 실제로 그는 돈궤를 맡고 있는 자로서 도둑이었습니다(요한복음

직분자들은 겉으로는 하나님을 사랑하고 섬기는 것 같은데 실제로는 돈을 사랑하여 돈을 섬기므로 봉사와 직분을 헌신작처럼 내팽켜 치고 있습니다. "돈을 사랑하는 것이 온갖 악의 뿌리가 됩니다.
이것을 가지려고 열망하는 사람들이 믿음에서 떠나 방황하다가 많은 고통을 당하고 마음의 상처를 입습니다"(디모데전서 6:10, 현대인의 성경).
