Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 그래도 충분히 원망스러운 상황인데( 9:18),  상황이 악화되고(10), 더욱더 악화되어 충분히 크게 두려움을 느낄 있는 상황이 되었다 할지라도(11), 하나님께서는 동일하게 '두려워하지 말라' 말씀하실 뿐만 아니라(10:8, 11:6)  상황들을 통하여 합력하여 선을 이루시사(8:28) 하나님의 분명한 목적을 이루어 나아가십니다.
