Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . 하나님께서는 시내산에서 모세를 부르시사 그를 통하여 애굽에 있는 이스라엘 백성들을 건져내신 후 그들이 시내산에서 '나를 섬기리라' 말씀하셨는데( 3:1-12) 건짐을 받은 이스라엘 백성들은 모세가 시내산에 올라가 있는 동안 금송아지를 만들어 놓고 경배를 했습니다(32:4).

 

하나님을 섬겨야 하나님의 백성들이 애굽 고센 땅에서 번식력이 강한 황소를 다산과 풍요를 주는 신으로 섬겼던 것처럼(인터넷시내산 밑에서도 금송아지를 만들어서 우상 숭배를 것입니다.
