가서 문병했던 유다의 아하시야 왕은 그 문병이 오히려 그에게는 치명적인 화가 되고 말았습니다. 이것은 하나님께서 아하시야를 벌하시기로 이미 작정하셨기 때문이었습니다. 아하시야 왕은 그곳에 갔다가 요람 왕과 함께 예후를 만나게
되었는데 그는 하나님께서 아합의 집안을 파멸시키기 위해 택한 사람이었습니다. 결국 예후는 아합의 집안 사람들을 찾아 죽일 때에 유다의
지도자들과 아하시야 왕의 조카들을 만나 그들을 모조리 죽여 버렸을 뿐만 아니라 아하시야 왕도 찾아내서 그 또한 죽여 버렸습니다(역대하 22:5-9, 현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 사탄은 우리로 하여금 하나님께서
보시기에 악을 행하는 사람들과 어울리게 만들고 함께하게 만듦으로 결국에 가서는 우리에게 치명적인 화를 입게 만든다는 생각이 듭니다.
