하나님께서는 우리가 행한 죄악된 일들을 모르는 척하지 않으시고 반드시 그 대가를 받도록 하셔야 하며 또한 우리의 지난 일을 철저하게 계산하셔서 우리가 행한 그대로 갚아 주셔야 함에도 불구하고 오래 참으시고,
너그럽게 대해주시면서 우리에게 넘치는 자비를 베풀어 주시고계십니다. 그 이유는 하나님께서는 우리 모두가 회개하게 되기를 바라고 계시기 때문입니다(참고: 이사야 65:6-7;
