우리가 보기에 "나쁜 곳"과 아주 '좋은 곳'
우리가 보기에 "나쁜 곳"은 이것도 "없고" 저것도 "없고", "없고" 없고" "없도다"입니다(민수기 20:5). 즉, 우리가 보기에 나쁜 곳은 우리가 부족함을 많이 느끼는 곳입니다. 그러기에 우리는 그 "나쁜 곳"에서 하나님께 엎드려 간구할 수 밖에 없습니다(6절). 그리할 때 하나님께서는 그 "나쁜 곳"에서 우리의 간구를 들으시사 우리에게 말씀하십니다(7-8절). 그런데 우리는 그 하나님의 말씀을 믿음으로 순종하지 못하고 하나님의 거룩하심을 나타내지 아니합니다(12절). 그럼에도 불구하고 하나님께서는 그 "나쁜 곳"에서 우리의 원망의 소리도 들으시사 우리의 부족함을 채워주십니다(11절). 이것이 하나님의 은혜가 아니고 무엇입니까. 우리가 보기에 "나쁜 곳"은 하나님의 은혜를 체험하는 곳입니다!
우리가 보기에 아주 '좋은 곳'은(사사기 18:9, 현대인의 성경) "아무것도 부족한 것이 없이 번영을 누리"는 곳이요(7절, 현대인의 성경) "그 곳에는 세상에 있는 것이 하나도 부족함이 없"는 곳입니다(10절). 우리가 보기에 아주 '좋은 곳'은 우리가 "한가하고 걱정 없이 사는" 곳입니다(27절). 그러기에 우리는 그 아주 '좋은 곳'에서 하나님께 기도할 필요성을 느끼지 못합니다. 그러므로 결국에 가서는 우리는 그 아주 '좋은 곳'에서 우상을 섬기는 죄를 범합니다(30절). 우리가 보기에 아주 '좋은 곳'은 하나님께 우상숭배의 죄를 범하는 곳입니다.
