목사는 장로들과 함께 하나님 앞에 서야 합니다.
이스라엘 자손의 지도자 모세를 향한 하나님의 기도 응답은 "너는 백성들 앞으로 가거라. 네가 갈 때는 이스라엘 장로들을 데리고 나일강을 치던 네 지팡이를 손에 잡고 가거라. 내가 시내산 바위 위에서 네 앞에 서겠다. 너는 그 지팡이로 바위를 치라. 그러면 바위에서 물이 나와 백성이 마실 수 있을 것이다"였습니다. 그래서 모세는
이스라엘 장로들이 보는 앞에서 그대로 행했습니다(출애굽기 17:5-6, 현대인의 성경). 기도하는
목사는 하나님께 받은 기도 응답대로 행해야 합니다. 행하되 목사는 불평하며 따르는 교인들 앞으로 가야 합니다.
그리고 목사는 장로들과 함께 하나님 앞에 서야 합니다. 그리고 지난 날에 하나님께서 행하신 기적의
"그 지팡이로 바위를 치라"는 하나님의 말씀에 믿음으로 순종해야

길을 내신 하나님께서는 바위에서도 물을 내시사 교인들로 하여금 마시게 하실 것입니다. 하나님께서는 바위가 되시는 그리스도를 믿는 사람은 성경
말씀대로 그 마음 속에서 생수의 강이 흘러나오게 하실 것입니다(요한복음 7:38, 현대인의 성경).
