양심의 가책을 받는 축복을 사모해야 합니다.
사탄이 이스라엘 백성에게 재앙을 불러 일으키려고 다윗의 마음을 “충동”하여 인구 조사를 하도록 했을 때(역대상 21:1,
현대인의 성경) 다윗은 인구 조사 후에 “양심의
가책”을 받아 하나님께 “내가 이 일로 큰 죄를 범했습니다.
여호와여, 이제 종의 죄를 용서해 주소서. 내가 아주 미련한 짓을 하였습니다”라고 부르짖었습니다(사무엘하 24:10, 현대인의 성경). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 우리는 사탄이 우리의 마음을 충동하는
것을 경계해야 한다고 생각합니다. 그리고
혹여나 우리가 사탄의 충동질에 넘어가 아주 미련한 짓을 하여 하나님께 죄를 범했을 때 양심의 가책을 받는 축복을 사모해야 합니다. 우리의 양심이 마비되지 않도록 말입니다.
