주님의 계산법과 우리의 계산법이 너무나 다른 것 같습니다. 하늘 나라에 계신 왕 중의 왕이신 주님의 계산법과 이 땅에 사는 우리의 계산법이 너무나 다른 것 같습니다 . 우리의 계산법은 형제가 우리에게 죄를 지었을 때 일곱 번까지만 용서하면 되겠다는 생각하는데 주님의 계산법은 “ 일곱 번만 아니라 일흔번씩 일곱번이라도 용서하여라 ” 입니다 . 그 근본적인 차이는 주님은 죄 지은 자를 불쌍히 여기시는데 우리를 우리에게 죄 지은 자를 불쌍히 여기는 마음이 결핍돼 있다는 것입니다 . 이러한 우리에게 예수님께서는 이렇게 말씀하고 계십니다 : “ 너희가 전심으로 형제를 용서하지 않으면 하늘에 계신 내 아버지께서도 너희에게 그와 같이 하실 것이다 ”( 참고 : 마태복음 18:21-35, 현대인의 성경 ).
