A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 깨우침을 얻어야 하는데 … “이러한 일은 우리의 본보기가 되어 우리로 하여금 그들이 악을 즐겨 한 것 같이 즐겨 하는 자가 되지 않게 하려 함이니 … 그들에게 일어난 이런 일은 본보기가 되고 또한 말세를 만난 우리를 깨우치기 위하여 기록되었느니라” ( 고린도전서 10 장 6, 11 절 ). 축구 경기를 보다보면 심판이 반칙한 선수에게 경고의 표시로 노란색 카드 ( yellow card ) 를 번쩍 드는 모습을 보곤합니다 . 그러다가 만일 그 반칙한 선수가 또 다시 반칙을 하게 되면 그 때 심판은 퇴장 명령 카드인 레드 카드 ( red card ) 를 번쩍 듭니다 . 그러면 그 선수는 더 이상 축구 게임을 하지 못하고 무조건 축구장에서 퇴장을 해야 합니다 . 그 결과 그 선수가 속해 있는 축구팀은 상대티보다 수적으로 열세 할수 밖에 없습니다 . 결국 심판의 경고를 받고도 주의하지 않고 또 다시 반칙하여 퇴장 명령 카드를 받은 그 선수로 말미암아 그가 속해 있는 전체팀에게 폐를 끼치게 됩니다 . 저는 이것을 교회에 적용해 보았습니다 . 주님께서는 영적 전쟁을 하는 교회란 공동체에게 경고를 하시는 경우가 있습니다 . 영적 전쟁에서 이기지 못하고 연약한 믿음으로 말미암아 하나님께 죄를 범하고 또 범할 때 주님께서는 우리 교회에게 경고를 주십니다 . 그 때 우리는 주님의 경고를 결코 가볍게 생각하지 말아야 합니다 . 그리고 우리는 주님의 경고를 통하여 깨우침을 얻어야 합니다 . 우리는 주님의 경고를 심각하게 받아들이고 더 이상 죄를 범하지 않도록 주의해야 합니다 ....
