A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. (2) [ 골로새서 3 장 1-4 절 ] 여러분은 무엇을 사모하는 마음으로 열심히 찾고 계십니까 ? 적어도 우리는 매일 순간 순간 우리가 가지고 있었던 물건을 잃어버렸을 때 그 물건을 찾고자 애쓰곤 합니다 . 예를 들어 , 우리가 열쇠를 잃어버렸을 때든지 또는 전화기나 지갑이나 신용카드 등을 잃어버렸을 때 우리는 그 잃어버린 물건을 찾고자 부단히도 노력하곤 합니다 . 또한 우리는 우리가 중요시 여기는 건강을 잃었을 때에는 다시금 건강을 찾고자 매우 애쓸 수밖에 없습니다 . 우리가 익히 들어 아는 마태복음 7 장 7-8 절 말씀이 생각납니다 : “구하라 그리하면 너희에게 주실 것이요 찾으라 그리하면 찾아낼 것이요 문을 두드리라 그리하면 너희에게 열릴 것이니 구하는 이마다 받을 것이요 찾는 이는 찾아낼 것이요 두드리는 이에게는 열릴 것이니라 . ” 이 말씀은 예수님께서 우리에게도 하나님 아버지께 문을 두드리듯이 구하고 ( 기도하고 ) 찾으라고 하신 말씀으로서 우리가 기도하고 찾는 대상이신 하나님 아버지는 “구하는 자에게 좋은 것으로 주시”는 하나님 아버지라고 말씀하고 계십니다 (11 절 ). 이 말씀에 근거해서 우리가 우리 자신에게 ‘내가 무엇을 사모하는 마음으로 열심히 찾고 있는가 ? ’라는 질문을 던질 때 그 의미는 ‘내가 하나님께 간절히 찾고 있는 것이 무엇인가 ? ’ 또는 ‘내가 간절히 하나님께 기도하고 있는 기도 제목은 무엇인가 ? ’입니다 . 저는 이 질문을 우리가 이미 묵상한 골로새서 2 장 8-23 절에서 사도 바울이 골로새 교회 성도들과 라오디게아 교회 성...
