The Inseparable Love of God (1) [ Romans 8:38-39 ] Why can nothing separate us from the love of God? 1. Because God’s love is eternal. Romans 8:29a says: “For those whom He foreknew…” The word “foreknew” refers to before eternity began —before the creation of heaven and earth . The phrase “those whom He foreknew” does not simply mean knowing about someone intellectually, but rather loving them. In other words, it refers to “those whom God loved from eternity past.” Amos 3:2a says: “You only have I known of all the families of the earth.” If “known” merely meant intellectual knowledge, that would imply that God only knew Israel and did not know the other nations—which cannot be true, because the all-knowing God lacks knowledge of nothing. Therefore, “I have known you only” means “I have loved you only.” God loved Israel among all the nations of the earth. 우리 모두 위대하신 하나님을 믿음(아멘)으로 찬양하면서 경배하십시다. 에스라가 위대하신 하나님 여호와를 찬양하자 모든 백성들은 손을 들고 ' 아멘 ! 아멘 !' 하며 응답하였습니다 . 그리고서 그들은 얼굴을 땅에 대고 엎드려 여호와께 경배하였습니다 ( 느헤미야 8:6, 현대인의 성경 ). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 우리 모두가 위대하신 하나님을 믿음 ( 아멘 ) 으로 찬양하면서 겸손히 하나님을 경배해야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다 . 복음성가 “ 위대하고 강하신 주님 ” 이 생각납니다 : “ 위대하고 강하신 주님 우리 주 하나님 위대하고 강하신 주님 우리 주 하나님 깃발을 높이 들고 흔들며 왕께 찬양해 위대하고 강하신 주님 우리 주 하나님 위대하고 강하신 주님 우리 주 하나님 .”
