Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 갚을 능력이 없는 자들에게 베풀어야 ...  우리는 이웃에게 베풀 때에  우리에게 도로 갚을 능력이 있는  " 부한 이웃 " 에게 베풀기 보다  " 차라리 " 갚을 능력이 없는  " 가난한 자들 " 에게 베풀어야 합니다 .    그 이유는 그리하면 그들이 갚을 것이 없으므로 우리에게 복이 될 것입니다 .   그 복이란 의인들의 부활시에  우리가 갚음을 받는 것입니다 ( 눅 14:12-14; 참고 : 마 25:40).
