God’s love, which is stronger than death, is causing me to continue walking the path of the mission the Lord has given me (John 6:1–15). “At that very time some Pharisees came and said to Him, ‘Leave this place and go somewhere else. Herod wants to kill You.’ He replied, ‘Go tell that fox, “I will keep driving out demons and healing people today and tomorrow, and on the third day I will reach My goal.” In any case, I must press on today and tomorrow and the next day—for surely no prophet can die outside Jerusalem! Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 하나님 아버지께 감사하는 이유 (10) 셋째로 , 사도 바울과 디모데는 골로새에 있는 신실한 성도들을 위하여 기도할 때마다 하나님 아버지께 감사를 했는데 바울이 디모데에게 쓴 편지를 보면 바울은 밤낮 간구하는 가운데 쉬지 않고 디모데를 생각할 때 하나님께 감사했다는 것입니다 ( 딤후 1;3). 그 이유는 바울은 디모데 속에 거짓이 없는 믿음을 생각했기 때문입니다 (5 절 ). 여기서 “거짓이 없는 믿음”이란 신실한 믿음 , 위선이 없는 믿음 , 가짜가 아닌 믿음을 의미합니다 . 성경 로마서 4 장 18-21 절에 나와 있는 아브라함의 믿음으로 3 가지 생각해 보았습니다 : (1) 아브라함의 거짓이 없는 믿음은 바랄 수 없는 중에 바라는 믿음이었습니다 ( 롬 4:18). 우리는 바랄 수 있을 상황만 아니라 바랄 수 없는 불가능해 보이는 상황에서도 하나님을 바랄 수 있는 믿음의 소유자가 돼야 합니다 . (2) 아브라함의 거짓이 없는 믿음은 불가능한 상황에서 믿음이 연약해지지 않고 오히려 견고하여져서 하나님께 영광을 돌리는 믿음이었습니다 (19-20 절 ). 우리는 세월 지나갈수록 점진적으로 어려워지고 불가능 해져가는 상황 속에서도 의심하지 않으며 믿음이 연약해지지 않고 더욱더 강해지는 불가능제로의 믿음으로 전진해 나아가야 합니다 . (3) 아브라함의 거짓이 없는 믿음은 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 능히 이루실 줄을 확신하는 믿음이었습니다 ( 롬 4:21).
