이렇게 자녀에게 유언할 수 있길 기원합니다. 다윗은 죽을 날이 가까워 오자 자기 아들 솔로몬에 이렇게 유언했습니다 : (1) ‘ 너는 남자답게 굳세게 살라 ,’ (2) ‘ 너는 네 하나님의 명령과 모든 법과 규정을 모세의 율법책에 기록된 그대로 실천하여라 .’ 아버지 다윗이 아들 솔로몬에게 이렇게 유언한 이유는 ‘ 그러면 아들 솔로몬이 어디서 무엇을 하든지 모든 일이 다 잘 될 것이기 때문이었습니다 ’( 열왕기상 2:1-3, 현대인의 성경 ). 우리 부모님들을 알아야 합니다 . 우리 자녀들이 어디서 무엇을 하든지 모든 일이 다 잘 되기 위해선 그들이 하나님의 말씀 ( 명령 , 계명 ) 에 순종해야 합니다 . 그러기 위해서 우리 부모님들이 먼저 하나님의 말씀에 순종하면서 살아가는 신앙의 모범을 가정에서 보여주어야 합니다 . 그렇게 먼저 모범을 보이면서 살다가 우리의 죽을 날이 가까워 오면 우리도 다윗처럼 우리 자녀들에게 유언할 수 있길 기원합니다 .
