For some of us, it’s been a while. In our hard-working, highly productive culture, we can sometimes feel like exhausted swimmers swept downstream in a fast-moving river, fighting to keep our heads above water, gasping for air. We get up early and stay up late. We never waste a minute. Our schedule is full, running here, running there, running late, running to catch up, running on empty, until we collapse in utter exhaustion. Underneath the satisfaction of being hard-working, hard-playing people is a weariness that’s desperate for the pace to relent so we can rest and recharge. 진실되지 못하고 정직하지 못한 우리 그리스도인들로 인해 하나님을 믿는 이삭은 하나님을 믿지 않는 불레셋 왕 아비멜렉에게 자기 아내 리브가에 대해서 누이 동생이라고 거짓말하는 바람에 아비멜렉 왕은 " 내 백성 중 하나가 당신 아내를 가까이하여 당신 때문에 우리가 죄를 지을 뻔하였소 " 라고 이삭에게 말했습니다 ( 창세기 26:9-10, 현대인의 성경 ). 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 예수님을 믿는 우리 그리스도인들이 진실되지 못하고 정직하지 못하여 예수님을 믿지 않는 사람들에게 거짓말을 하므로 우리 자신들만 죄를 범하는 것이 아니라 그들 또한 죄를 짓게 만들고 있다는 생각을 하게 되었습니다 .
