Devotional Reflection Based on the Incident of Peter Cutting Off Malchus's Ear: “Then one of those standing near drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.” ( Mark 14:47, Today's Korean Version ) 1. Identifying the People Involved: The person who stood beside Jesus and drew the sword was Simon Peter . The servant of the high priest was named Malchus . “Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, cutting off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.” ( John 18:10 ) 2. 인내로써 목표를 향해 꾸준히 달려가십시다.  우리 모두 믿음의 근원이시며 우리 믿음을 완전케 하시는 예수님을 바라보면서 모든 무거운 짐과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고 인내로써 목표를 향해 꾸준히 달려가십시다 ( 히브리서 12:1-2, 현대인의 성경 ).

모든 무거운 것과 죄 예수님께서  우리의 모든 무거운 죄를 대신 걸머지시고  십자가에 죽으셨기에  우리는  모든 무거운 것과 얽매이기 쉬운 죄를 벗어 버리고  인내로써 우리 앞에 당한 경주를 해야 합니다 ( 히브리서 12:1-2).
