If a human being tries to seat himself in the “place of honor,” he will ultimately be put to shame; but if he seats himself in the “lowest place” (the place of Jesus Christ), God will exalt him. “Now He began speaking a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been picking out the places of honor at the table, saying to them, ‘When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, “Give your place to this man,” and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place. 왜 하나님은 우리에게 이러시는 것일까요? 하나님은 우리 인생에 " 박넝쿨 " 을 예비하시사 우리의 괴로움을 면하게 하시므로 우리가 크게 기뻐하게 하십니다 . 그러시다가 하나님께서는 " 벌레 " 을 예비하시사 우리가 크게 기뻐하는 것을 갉아 먹게도 하십니다 . 그러신 후 하나님께서는 " 뜨거운 동풍 " 을 예비하시사 우리로 하여금 혼미케 하시고 심지어 우리 스스로 죽기를 구하게 만드실 정도까지 가게 두십니다 . 왜 하나님은 우리에게 이러시는 것일까요 ? 하나님의 뜻은 무엇일까요 ? 어쩌면 하나님의 뜻은 우리가 크게 기뻐하고 매우 아끼는 것을 가지고 가시므로 우리에게 하나님께서 아끼시는 것이 무엇인지를 가르쳐 주시고자 하시는 것일 수도 있습니다 ( 요나 4:6-11).
