“안심하라 두려워하지 말라"

“안심하라 두려워하지 말라" 야곱의 9 명의 아들들이 막내 동생 베냐민과 함께 이집트에 내려가 요셉 앞에 섰을 때에 요셉은 집안 일을 맡은 하인에게 " 이 사람들을 내 집으로 안내하고 짐승을 잡아 식사를 준비하라 . 이들이 정오에 나와 함께 식사할 것이다 " 라고 말했습니다 .   그래서 그 하인은 요셉이 시키는 대로 그들을 요셉의 집으로 안내했습니다 .   그런데 요셉의 형들은 두려워하여 " 지난번 우리 자루에 들어 있던 그 돈 때문에 우리가 여기에 끌려왔다 . 그가 우리를 치고 달려들어 우리 나귀들을 빼앗고 우리를 노예로 삼으려고 하는 것이 틀림없다 " 라고 했습니다 ( 창세기 43:15-18, 현대인의 성경 ).   흥미로운 점은 요셉의 집안 일을 맡은 하인이 요셉의 형제들에게 한 말입니다 : “안심하라 두려워하지 말라 …”(23 절 ).   이 말씀을 묵상할 때 예수님께서 배 타고 육지를 떠나 상당히 멀리까지 갔는데 바람이 휘몰아치므로 배가 파도에 시달리고 있었을 때 새벽 4 시쯤 되어 예수님께서 바다위로 걸어서 제자들에게 오셨는데 제자들은 “ 보고 무서워하여 ‘ 유령이다 !’ 하고 소리쳤 ” 을 때 예수님께서 “ 안심하라 나니 두려워하지 말라 ” 는 말씀이 생각났습니다 ( 마태복음 14:24-27).   그리고 그 요셉의 하인이 요셉의 형제들에게 “ 당신들의 하나님 , 곧 당신들 아버지의 하나님이 그 돈을 당신들의 자루에 넣어 주신 것입니다 ”( 창세기 43:23, 현대인의 성경 ) 라는 말씀도 흥미롭습니다 .   그 하인은 이집트 사람이었을텐데 어떻게 이러한 말을 할 수 있었을까요 ?   혹시 그는 요셉을 통하여 요셉의 하나님을 믿게 되어서 그리말했을까요 ?
