우리의 죄가 크고 많으므로 ... 우리 상처는 고칠 수 없고 우리 부상은 치료할 수 없을 만큼 중상입니다 . 우리를 도와줄 사람이 없고 우리 상처를 낫게 할 약이 없으며 우리를 고칠 희망이 없습니다 . 우리를 사랑하는 사람들이 다 우리를 잊고 우리를 찾지 않습니다 . 하나님께서 우리를 원수처럼 상하게 하고 잔인할 정도로 우리를 가혹하게 벌하시는 것은 우리의 죄가 크고 우리의 허물이 많기 때문입니다 . 우리의 죄가 크고 많으므로 하나님께서 우리에게 이런 벌을 내리셨습니다 ( 참고 : 예레미야 30:12-15, 현대인의 성경 ). 예수 그리스도께서 우리의 죄 때문에 찔림을 당하시고 상처를 입으셨으니 그 분이 징계를 받으심으로 우리가 평화를 누리게 되었고 그분이 채찍을 맞으심으로 우리가 고침을 받았습니다 ( 이사야 53:5, 현대인의 성경 ).
