A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. (2) 사도 바울은 이미 골로새서 1 장 3-4 절에서 골로새 교회의 신실한 성도들을 위하여 하나님께 기도할 때마다 하나님께 감사하는 이유가 바로 그들이 예수님을 잘 믿고 있기 때문이다 라고 말했는데 23 절에 와서는 “ 만일 너희가 믿음에 거하고 터 위에 굳게 서서 …” 라고 말했습니다 . 그 이유는 사도 바울은 그들이 믿음에 굳게 서 있길 그리도 원했기 때문입니다 . 그 이유는 그 당시 이단 사상들이 골로새 교회를 위협하고 있었기 때문입니다 ( 맥아더 ). 그 이단 사상은 (1) 거짓 철학이었습니다 ( 골 2:8). 영지주의의 초기 형태로 물질은 악한 것이라 주장하여 예수님의 성육신을 부인했습니다 . 또 특별한 지식이 있어야 구원받을 수 있다고 주장하며 , 예수님의 구속으로 인한 구원을 부인했습니다 . (2) 유대교적 율법주의였습니다 (16 절 ). 유대주의자들은 육체의 할례 , 음식의 규례 , 특별한 절기의 준수가 구원과 관계있다고 주장했습니다 . (3) 천사를 숭배하는 신비주의였습니다 (18 절 ). 사람이 직접 하나님께 경배드리는 것은 교만한 태도이며 , 둘 사이의 중보자인 천사를 숭배하는 것이 겸손이라고 주장했습니다 . 지금 다양한 이단 사상들이 우리 교회를 위협하고 있습니다 . 그러므로 우리는 예수 그리스도를 믿는 믿음에 굳게 서 있어서 복음의 소망에 흔들리지 말아야 합니다 .
