A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. 은혜를 베풀라고 은혜를 입게 하시는 주님 지금 주님은 나에게 내 이웃을 내 자신 같이 사랑하라고 말씀하시는데 ( 마태복음 22:39) 하필이면 그 이웃이 내가 싫어하는 사람입니다 . 그래서 나는 지금 주님의 명령에 불순종하고 있습니다 ( 요나 1:2). 그런데 주님께서는 불순종하는 나 같은 죄인에게도 나랑 함께 있는 비신자 ( 들 ) 을 통해 은혜를 입게 하시사 나에게 ' 하나님은 은혜로우시다 ' 라는 진리를 가르쳐 주시고 계십니다 (4-13 절 ). 그 목적은 주님은 나로 하여금 주님을 본받아 내가 싫어하는 그 사람에게도 은혜를 베풀라는 것입니다 . 그런데도 나는 내가 싫어하는 그 사람에게 은혜를 베풀기를 거부하고 있습니다 . 오히려 나는 아직도 그 사람이 잘 안되기를 지켜 보고 있습니다 (4:5).
