A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. ' 나는 할 수 없지만 하나님은 하실 수 있습니다 !' " 나는 할 수 없지만 " 하나님은 하실 수 있습니다 ! 라는 마음 자세가 매우 중요합니다 . 애굽 왕 바로가 요셉에게 " 내가 꿈을 꾸었는데 그것을 해석해 줄 사람이 아무도 없다 . 그러나 나는 네가 꿈을 잘 해석한다는 말을 들었다 " 고 말하니까 요셉은 " 나는 할 수 없지만 하나님이 왕에게 그 꿈의 뜻을 말씀해 주실 것입니다 " 라고 답변을 했습니다 ( 창세기 41:15-16, 현대인의 성경 ). 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 바로 왕의 술을 따르는 신하와 빵 굽는 신하가 같은 날 밤에 서로 다른 꿈을 꾼 후 " 우리가 꿈을 꾸었으니 해몽해 줄 사람이 없구나 " 라고 말했을 때 요셉의 답변이 생각납니다 : " 해몽은 하나님이 하시지 않습니까 ?" (40:8, 현대인의 성경 ) 이 말씀들을 함께 묵상할 때 요셉은 자기는 할 수 없지만 하나님은 하실 수 있다는 믿음이 확고히 있었음을 알 수 있습니다 . 우리도 요셉처럼 ' 나는 할 수 없지만 하나님은 하실 수 있습니다 !' 라는 믿음의 자세로 신앙 생활을 해야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다 . 만일 우리가 아직도 ' 나는 할 수 있다 ' 또는 ' 내가 할 수 있을 것 같다 ' 라는 생각을 가지고 내 힘과 능력 등으로 문제들을 해결해 나아가려고 하고 있다면 아직도 전적으로 하나님만을 의지하고 있지 않다는 것을 깨닫아야 합니다 .
