If a human being tries to seat himself in the “place of honor,” he will ultimately be put to shame; but if he seats himself in the “lowest place” (the place of Jesus Christ), God will exalt him. “Now He began speaking a parable to the invited guests when He noticed how they had been picking out the places of honor at the table, saying to them, ‘When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, for someone more distinguished than you may have been invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, “Give your place to this man,” and then in disgrace you proceed to occupy the last place. 육신적인 거리보다 마음과 특히 감정의 거리를 분명하게 둘 필요가 있을 것입니다 . 서로 사랑해서는 아니될 남자와 여자요 그 둘 중에 한 사람이 상대방을 몹시 사랑하고 연모하고 있다면 그 둘이 한 방에 같이 있는 것 자체가 이미 간교한 사탄의 유혹에 넘어갈 수밖에 없는 상황이라 생각합니다 . 그러한 상황에 처해있지 않도록 그 두 남녀는 서로에게 건강한 경계선을 긋고 서로에게서 거리를 둘 필요가 있다고 생각합니다 . 그러나 육신적인 거리보다 마음과 특히 감정의 거리를 분명하게 둘 필요가 있을 것입니다 ( 참고 : 사무엘하 13:1-14).
