A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. Mission is not a program that begins with human enthusiasm; rather, it is the heart of God that runs throughout the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and is a fundamental reason for the church’s existence. Let me clearly summarize five essential principles of true mission as presented in Scripture. 🌍 1. The Mission of God (Missio Dei) The subject and initiator of mission is not human beings but God. In order to save fallen humanity, God first comes to us, sends His Son, and sends the Holy Spirit. He is the “missionary God” who sends. 이러한 지도자를 둔 가정과 교회는 괴로움을 당할 수 밖에 없지 않을까요? 아버지 사울 왕은 자기 아들인 " 요나단이 죄 있는 자로 뽑혔 " 으므로 그에게 " 요나단 , 너는 반드시 죽어야 한다 . 그렇지 않으면 하나님이 나를 쳐서 죽이시기 원한다 " 라고 말하고 요나단을 죽이려고 했습니다 . 그 때 이스라엘 백성들은 사울 왕에게 " ' 이스라엘이 승리하는데 이처럼 큰 공을 세운 요나단이 죽어야 합니까 ? 그건 안 될 말씀입니다 . 우리는 그가 머리털 하나라도 잃지 않게 할 것을 살아 계신 여호와의 이름으로 맹세합니다 . 하나님의 도움이 아니었던들 그가 오늘 어떻게 이런 일을 해낼 수 있었겠습니까 ?' 하며 요나단을 죽음에서 구출해 내었 " 습니다 ( 사무엘상 14:42-45, 현대인의 성경 ). 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 요나단만 사울 왕이 " 그건 말도 안 되는 소리다 !"(29 절 , 현대인의 성경 ) 라고 말한 것이 아니라 이스라엘 백성들도 사울 왕에게 " 그건 안 될 말씀입니다 "(45 절 , 현대인의 성경 ) 라고 말한 것을 보면 사울 왕이 이스라엘 백성의 지도자들에게 " 무엇인가 잘못 " 된 것인지 , " 이 일이 누구 죄 때문인지 " 한 번 알아보려고 했을 때 (38 절 , 현대인의 성경 ) 요나단과 이스라엘 백성들은 다 알고 있었는데 사울 왕 자신만 몰랐던 것 같습니다 . 슬픈 현실이라 생각합니다 . 이러한 지도자인 남편을 둔 가정 식구들과 이러한 지도자인 목사를 둔 교회 식구들은 많은 괴로움을 당할 수밖에 없지 않나 생각합니다 .
