A. What Is Biblical Mission? “Biblical mission means more than simply going overseas to plant churches or spread civilization. It means the church participating in the ‘mission of God (Missio Dei)’ and seeking the restoration of God’s rule and glory throughout the whole earth. 이웃에게 사랑과 존경을 받는 사람 아하수에로 왕은 모르드개를 가장 높은 자리에 앉혔습니다 . 왕은 유다 사람 모르드개를 자기 다음 가는 지위를 줘서 국무총리가 되게 하였습니다 . 모르드개는 모든 유다 사람의 사랑과 존경을 한 몸에 받았습니다 . 그 이유는 그가 유다 사람의 이익과 자기 민족의 복지를 위해서 최선을 다해 일했기 때문이었습니다 ( 에스더 10:2-3, 현대인의 성경 ). 저는 이 말씀을 묵상할 때 이웃의 이익과 복지 ( 안위 ) 를 위해 최선을 다해 일하는 사람은 그 이웃 사람들에게 사랑과 존경을 받을 수밖에 없다고 생각합니다 . 그리고 주님께서 높이는 사람은 더욱더 겸손히 낮아져서 예수님처럼 이웃을 섬겨야 한다는 교훈을 받습니다 .
